Adventures of the
Temple of Elemental Evil

✦ ✦ ✦

It began in the village of Hommlet, where four strangers met over Ostler's finest ale. A druid and his wolf, a cleric on pilgrimage, a wizard seeking knowledge, and a rogue with a mysterious past. They came for different reasons. They stayed because the world needed them.

What started as a simple investigation of a ruined moathouse became something far greater. They uncovered an army gathering beneath black cloaks bearing the yellow eye of the Temple of Elemental Evil. They survived a siege that nearly drowned Hommlet. They were carried to volcanic peaks by Rocs and fought their way home.

In Restenford, they saved the Baroness Andrella from assassins — twice — and exposed a conspiracy that stretched from Garroten's corrupt Lord Mayor to the shadow-worshipping priest Tellish and his ethereal cloak. They earned a home, a patron in the wizard Peltar, and a purpose.

At Bone Hill, they freed the ghost of the paladin Beowulf White and received his holy arms. In the depths of the Dweomer Forest, a dying treant compelled the druid Yancin to find a sacred seed — the oakenstone — and the goddess Mielikki showed him a vision of darkness to come.

They traveled to Nulb, the disreputable frontier town at the Temple's doorstep, where alliances were forged in tavern brawls and thieves' dens. But the darkness was not content to wait. Andrella vanished. Werewolves besieged Restenford. A corrupted cleric named Qualton — Andrella's own suitor — had delivered her to the Wolf-Lord.

In a forest where two evils converged — Lolth's spiders from below and Malar's beasts from the north — the party fought alongside treants and dryads. The legendary Drizzt Do'Urden appeared to battle the Beastlord himself, and both vanished where gods bleed.

In the Wolf-Lord's den, with Andrella bleeding on a sacrificial altar and a portal tearing open to Malar's realm, the party shattered the ritual's three strands — blood, stone, and beast. The treant Oakbough delivered the killing blow. The portal collapsed. The forest endured.

But Andrella's soul was torn. The oakenstone remains corrupted. And the Temple of Elemental Evil still waits in the east, patient and hungry.

The adventure continues.
